From Ordinary to Extra Ordinary: Story of Viqar-ul-Islam (Country Manager-Nokia Siemens Pakistan)

This is the story of Viqar-ul-Islam (Country Manager-Nokia Siemens Pakistan). In this story he describes how he changed his life from a poor man to one of the richest in Pakistan. He stated, there are certain factors behind his massive success in life. Here are those factors:

1. Have a Dream

In his early age he wished to become a doctor - he couldn't, since he was unable to pay for the expenses. He had 9 siblings (I doubt my memory) and according to him his father's income was not that strong to support the education of all his children.

Then he wanted to become a singer - he couldn't since he family (esp. his mother) didn't allow. he wanted to become a singer because he found his singing would help him earn money for his education. During this time he was giving home tuition to generate some additional income.

After completing his BCom he decided to do MBA from IBA (Karachi) - he joined BBA classes and failed the first semester and was fired from IBA. Aaahhhhh..... This was the turning point in his life. He did not give up and sought other possibilities. He found that an equivalent possibility was MCom (with very low grade - 45% marks. He told he was not a high achiever till his graduation.). In his MCom he struggled hard and got 5th position. Hurray...!

2. Visit Yourself

Make yourself accountable for your failure or success.

3. Be Different

Learn the power of being different because successful people are different.

4. Always Look for Solution    

Be a solution-oriented person.

5. Take Initiative

Only making plans or dreaming high is not enough one should take action.
